We collaborate with award-winning architectural firms, interior designers and independent creatives, all of whom are collectively making an impact in today’s world of design. Our team of design and construction experts ensure that each creative and artistic contribution results in elevated, stylish spaces and memorable settings that are an authentic reflection of the neighborhood and city in which the hotel resides.

As an homage to the creative communities that surround us, the #artatthejames program features a mix of local, national and international artists that is intended to enhance the visual journey – from corridors to public spaces to guestrooms. At The James New York, artist and curator Matthew Jensen worked with the Irving Sandler Artists File to select pieces for Stand Here and Listen, a collection displayed as a vertical gallery with one artist to each floor.
The James’ newest installation on the 6th Avenue façade of The James New York by artist Paul Wackers marks the brand’s first public-facing extension of #artatthejames. Created with the surrounding Soho neighborhood in mind, The James’ public art initiative strives to elevate the local community through art that is approachable, engaging and interactive.
